    Qualified Psychotherapist/Counsellor trained at the University of Leeds. I work with warmth and empathy to support clients to develop self-understanding and self-acceptance in the face of difficult life experiences and to promote personal growth and development. I previously worked in mental health crisis services and have experience working with survivors of sexual abuse and trauma. I also have training and experience working with individuals navigating the challenges of living with dyslexia and dyspraxia. I have experience of working with Deaf clients with BSL interpreters and I am qualified in using BSL to Level 2.

    I have over 10 years experience working in both the  NHS and private sector with a range of presentations from anxiety and depression, mental disorder and individuals diagnosed with personalty disorder. Trained in CBT and  REWIND therapy used to great both phobias and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

    I am a Psychotherapist with 10 years experience of working in the NHS. Over my career I have experience of working short and long term with clients who have common mental health issues, such as Depression and Anxiety. I have a flexible approach to therapy which I have developed whilst working in the NHS. I work with clients from 16 years upwards and have experience working with clients who have had issues from childhood, past or current relationships and bereavement and loss.

    I’m a qualified therapist with over 15 years experience, working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have previously worked at Parent Against Child Exploitation (PACE), Children Adolescent Mental Health Service in the NHS, Survive York, NSPCC, DVS Keighley and private practice. My approach is to create a safe and trusting environment for clients to explore difficulties. Specialisms; Anger, conflict resolution, Family issues, Problematic Substance abuse, Relationships, Loss, Domestic Violence, Abuse, Self Harm, Trauma, Suicide, Safeguarding and Child Protection.

Previous therapy experience working for NHS. Before qualifying worked in advertising for 20 years. I work with individuals and couples to help them gain clarity and provide strategies for dealing with their issues.

Accredited with British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP). Works on a face to face basis in Leeds City Centre and Ilkley with individuals experiencing depression and/or an anxiety disorder.

Working collaboratively to help you gain personal awareness and to understand the difficulties you may be experiencing by offering an empathic and supportive space for you to explore and encourage change. My previous experience includes working  at Talking Spaces and Just ‘B’ Bereavement Support Service, Harrogate and Craven College, Skipton providing counselling to staff and students.
